We are seeking a talented and motivated Landscape Designer/Architect to join our dynamic team and contribute to the design and development of diverse projects across residential, commercial, and municipal sectors. We currently have (3) Registered Landscape Architects on the COSTICH TEAM including our firm President. We are a NYS Certified Woman Owned Business (WBE).
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Landscape Designer/Architect will join our current Landscape Architects and support all projects within that group. Our LAs manage and oversee their own projects as well as support our internal teams (Survey, Civil, Telecommunications).
Develop and design creative, functional, and sustainable landscape plans for various project types, including residential, commercial, and public spaces.
Prepare site analysis, concept designs, planting plans, grading plans, and construction documents using AutoCAD, GIS, and/or other relevant software.
Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, surveying) and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with design intent and specifications.
Prepare presentation materials, including renderings, photosimulations, graphics, and reports, for client meetings and public hearings.
Stay current with industry trends, environmental regulations, and sustainable practices.
Assist in obtaining necessary permits and approvals from local and state agencies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field.
Licensure as a Landscape Architect or working toward licensure preferred.
3+ years of experience working in a professional Landscape Architecture office (internships considered), preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and 3D modeling software (SketchUp/Lumion).
Strong graphic and presentation skills, with an eye for detail and design aesthetics.
Knowledge of native plants and green infrastructure.
