Join the Emerging Professionals Committee Today

Announcing a new committee as part of the NYUASLA Chapter - we are now forming an Emerging Professionals committee, to begin this September 2021! The Emerging Professionals Committee will help shape how the Chapter supports and learns from landscape architects and designers that are within their first 7-10 years of experience. We encourage all members to spread the word to your ‘emerging’ colleagues to get involved! 🌱

This is a unique opportunity to lift up the younger members of the profession and a platform for the Chapter as a whole to learn from and understand the unique challenges and insights that emerging professionals have as they begin their landscape architectural career.

Preliminary programming ideas include guidance and assistance with the licensure and LARE exam processes; social events that feature active and informal gatherings; professional development to help with career advancement; and an open forum to support and promote work/ life balance within the profession. 🌱

Committee positions are open to any emerging professional within the field of landscape architecture in upstate NY. This includes current students who are completing their BLA/MLA degree. In order to be as inclusive as we can be, non-ASLA members are able to serve in this role as well, though we do encourage any non-members to become members!
